I am a creative writing student from the University of Cincinnati. This blog serves as a platform for the drafts and final versions of a poetry collection I am working on over the course of time I am spending in Madrid studying at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
The poetry in this collection focusses a lot on illustrating the feel of neighborhoods in Madrid, nature, and the other places I have travelled to during this experience. In these illustration I am really aiming to capture the feeling and complexity of what it means to be a traveller or foreigner, and what foreign means in the broader context of travelling within western countries when you are from a western country.
